About Aqua Touch
Aqua Touch developed from Patricia's exploration of the 'land based' Reflex Touch. Pat intuitively or psychically received instruction to research and develop a new technique that would utilize the conductive capabilities of water.
Pat had previously swum and worked with wild dolphins, exploring their healing capabilities in the wild and in captivity. Combining her experiences with her intuitive instruction she developed Morrell Aqua Touch.
She experimented for 3 years with medical supervision, working in indoor pools and the sea, to ensure safety and proficiency, before the current protocol was established. It became clear that the treatment, similar to Morrell Reflex Touch, must be subtle, yet specific or the patient would be at risk of a totally unacceptable over reaction.
Water acts as a conductor of energy. By utilizing and enhancing this naturally occurring phenomenon the Aqua Touch practitioner is able to facilitate the required change that restores balance throughout the body much faster than land based treatment.
Morrell Aqua Touch has been recognised as a therapy in its own right and is not reflexology in water.
Treatments are given by a team of Morrell trained practitioners. The patient is completely supported and allowed to float gently on the surface of the water. Each team member plays a vital role in assessing and monitoring the energy flow within the body whilst the treatment is given.
Often amazing results are achieved, sometimes after just one session.
The BBC filmed a documentary following Patricia and her colleagues when they travelled to Israel, filming them working in the ocean with wild dolphins. The team used Morrell Aqua Touch to treat patients suffering from spinal injuries and diseases along with their families. They discovered the powerful effects of the method were enhanced when working 'in the wild' and this has become the preferred environment. Practitioners have since travelled to Mexico, again working in the ocean alongside dolphins, treating predominantly spinal complaints.
Unfortunately the North Sea and Atlantic Ocean surrounding this country are too cold to work in. Treatments are given here in heated swimming pools, if possible, outdoors.
Most patients, though not all, experience immediate relief from their symptoms, some however require further treatment, land based or in the water. Often patients combine the two treatments in a program recommended by their practitioner.
We advise that patients receive a land based Morrell Reflex Touch treatment before having a Morrell Aqua Touch session, this is to enable the practitioner to carefully ascertain the patients needs and assess their medical condition.
Practitioner and patients alike have described giving and receiving the treatment as awe inspiring and inspirational, and often, but not always, amazing experiences are felt and seen. The water has been known on some occassions to bubble and ripple of its own accord. During one truly magical occasion on the island of Guernsey a breast cancer patient received a treatment. Her body and those of the practitioners were encased in thousands of tiny silver bubbles that clung to them until the end of the treatment when they slowly rose to the surface in unison. The patient had been treating the cancer with natural therapies including Reflex Touch and soon after she received her 'all clear'. She remains free of the disease to this day.
Training in this revolutionary technique is avaliable with Patricia Morrell or Samantha Selby, they are the only practitioners authorised to teach the method. Although not compulsory it is recommended that students have some experience of Morrell Reflex Touch. Often training is given side by side in the two techniques.
